NEW YORK —
The Fashion Institute of Technology has appointed retired Kohl's Department Stores president Jay Baker to its board of directors.
Baker will serve a seven-year term. He is an appointee of the NYC Panel for Educational Policy, which selects five of FIT's 10 trustees. Baker retired from Kohl's in 2000 after 14 years as president. In 2001, he and his wife gave the college $10 million for its capital campaign and to fund a scholarship endowment.
