Italian decorative fabrics mill names U.S. sales rep
STRATFORD, CT — Sharlene Adams has been appointed the U.S. sales representative in the United States for Texao, an Italian-based decorative fabrics mill.
Texao, a medium to high-end producer of jacquards and dobbies on cotton warps, is based in Prato. Texao will be showing with Milford Fabrics at Showtime next month in High Point, NC. For further information contact Sharlene Adams, (203)380-5680.
Proposte attendance up, but U.S delegation smaller
MILAN, ITALY — More than 8,200 visitors attended the 9th Proposte held last month at Villa Erba in Cernobbio.
The attendance represented an increase of 5.3 percent more than last year, and attendees were from 64 countries. Attendance from the United States dropped to 526 from 548 last year. The largest delegation was from Germany with 968, followed by France with 421.
Furnishings and curtain fabrics were showcased by 109 European companies.
Proposte in 2002 will take place at Villa Erba from May 8 to May 10.
