EA starts work on Shanghai facility

ATLANTA —

EA International Ltd., a Georgia-based manufacturer of vinyl packaging, has started construction on a manufacturing facility in Shanghai, China.

The new factory will join EA's International Division, which currently has two other manufacturing facilities in Guangdong, China and sales and design offices worldwide.

Mark Ye, CEO said, "The addition of this facility will improve lead times and availability of our vinyl products for all of our existing customers in the United States and abroad. We are reacting to our customers need for experienced manufacturers of vinyl packaging in this region of the country and the demand for additional capacity for all our customers both domestic and international.

"With the increase of textile products being produced in the Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Shangdong Provinces of China, and with the expected increase after 2005, the need has never been greater."

EA currently operates sales and customer service offices in Shanghai. The manufacturing facility is scheduled to open in the late fall of 2004.
