Blonder inks Crayola license

By Staff -- Home Textiles Today, 3/21/2008 10:25:00 AM

Cleveland – A collection of colorful, cheerful and kid-friendly bath products are the latest juvenile offerings set to come from Blonder Home Accents under a new licensing partnership with 100-plus year-old crayon company Crayola.

The bath coordinate collections include accessories and textiles, all branded with the Crayola name.

Blonder draws its designs from Crayola products currently in the marketplace, and the bath products are made to be “fun and interactive” for children, the company said.

The first collection will be ready for retail soon, with rollout scheduled early this year, Blonder said. It will include the Sunny Days Bath Accessories group, which allows children to personalize and decorate their shower curtains with “sticky bugs” pieces.

Accessories are made of light-weight resin and are painted with rubberized ink for a soft touch. The toothbrush holder is made to look like a piece of Crayola clay, the lotion pump is in the shape of smiling sun, the tissue holder depicts a sunny day scene, the soap dish and shower hooks are rainbow shaped and the bath rug shows a sun bursting through clouds.
