A not-so retiring Kagel receives warm sendoff

NEW YORK —

Friends, relatives, colleagues and — yes, customers — joined forces last month for a retirement party for Harvey Kagel, Sure Fit's vp, sales.

Kagel began his home textiles career with Bloomcraft and most recently was with Sure Fit for nearly 18 years.

In retirement he has formed Harvey Enterprises, a sales agency that will represent home textiles firms with specific accounts from Pennsylvania to Boston and the greater New York metropolitan area.

His accounts now include Ashford Court, Beacon Looms, Elite Home Products and Sure Fit.
