New York — —
New York — S.S. Dweck is expanding beyond the mass market and discount channels with a new licensed line of Sahara Club bedding and bath products.
“We will be working closely with our designers to develop a line that will capture the true essence of the Sahara Club label,” the company said in a release, noting that the Sahara Club brand was once carried by better department stores such as Fortunoff, Bloomingdale's and Saks.
The debut collection targets specialty stores and department stores and aims to provide quality constructions “at direct import prices” with an updated design spin, the company said. S.S. Dweck will introduce the collection during the New York Mini-Market in February in its showroom at 230 Fifth Ave.
The bedding portion of the line will consist of high thread count sheet sets and quilts as well as bedspreads, blankets and throws in a variety of fabrics. Towel ensembles will include Egyptian cotton zero twist, carded, bamboo, sculptured, jacquard velours and embroidered constructions.
