Softline expands into Canada

Gardena, Calif. – Building upon the fabric business they started here, and now marking five years in the window curtain and drapery business, brothers Jason and Rodney Carr are opening a new front for their company Softline Home Fashions: in Montreal, Canada, their former home.
Softline has unveiled a full-service showroom and distribution center in Montreal to serve both big box mass merchants and specialty stores in Canada. Product lines in the 30,000-square-foot facility encompass ready-made curtains, fabrics by the bolt, decorative pillows, and fashion bedding – including their most recent introduction, the Evidence of Evolution eco-friendly and recycled line.
The Carr brothers acknowledge that opening a new facility in the current economy is “ambitious,” but they prefer to call it an “auspicious” sign of good fortune – and one that will ease their serving Canadian accounts in a cost-effective way.
In addition to its headquarters and manufacturing and distribution facilities in California and the new Montreal plant, Softline maintains showrooms in New York and Atlanta.
We would love your feedback!
