Hellenic picks mgr, moving to GA

By Staff -- Home Textiles Today, 8/25/2003 12:00:00 AM

As part of its relocation to Calhoun, GA, after 15 years of calling Brooklyn home, Hellenic Rugs has hired Tim Cody as its manager for warehousing and distribution.

Cody was formerly with Natco working as a manager in fabrication.

In his new position, Cody reports to Steve Roan, vp of operations at the Calhoun facility.

Hellenic will spend the next year relocating its Brooklyn offices and inventory to the South to its new 40,000-square-foot site, located on a four-acre property.

"There was always the plan to move because of our expansions into broadloom and wood flooring," Steve Mazarakis, president, told HTT. "We never expected to buy a site. But business has been so great we're moving there in a big way."

The company will maintain offices and showrooms in New York, San Francisco, Atlanta and High Point, NC. All are open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday with the exception of the New York office/showroom, which is by appointment only.
