New director, partnership for Fallani and Cohn

TAPPAN, NY —

Table linens and kitchen textiles supplier Fallani and Cohn has hired Ava Baird as director of design and product development.

She replaces Leslie Brooks, who left the company to pursue other interests.

Baird, most recently an independent designer for several industry players, now reports to Ana Werbel, national sales manager.

"She brings 25 years of experience in home furnishings and a fresh and exciting look for our programs," Werbel said.

In other news, Fallani and Cohn has partnered with Woolrich, PA-based Woolrich Inc. to produce a licensed line of table linens and kitchen textiles — one of two new licensees for Woolrich's Home division for home furnishings, which launched in March 2002. The other licensee is Southern Textiles for top-of-bed.

"Both Fallani and Cohn and Southern Textiles are leaders in the soft goods industry. They are known for their unsurpassed style, quality and service," said Dennis Marxen, vp, international and home licensing, Woolrich.

Other Woolrich licensees include Lexington Home Brands for case goods and upholstery and Shady Lady for lighting and decorative accessories.

Woolrich said it will soon announce additional licensees to its Home Division in the coming months.
