Lewis named Aussino prez

New York — Steve Lewis has been named president of Aussino USA effective today by Anthony Lim, chairman of parent company Aussino Group Ltd., headquartered in China and Singapore.

"My goals are to continue to grow and position the business for 2005, when quotas are [lifted] from Chinese imports," said Lewis, formerly executive vp of the company "We're still offering the customer high-end looks at popular price points and will continue to span the market for new and unique looks to offer our customers the ability to enhance their product assortments."

Lewis, who has headed Aussino's U.S. division for the past two and a half years, previously worked for Barkat Inc. for three years as vp sales. Prior to that, he served as sales manager for now-defunct manufacturer Barclay Home Products for 12 years.
