Brumlow Home develops “Bleach Friendly” rug technology

Calhoun, Ga. – On the heels of its re-entry into the bath rug business earlier this year, domestic soft floor covering manufacturer Brumlow Home is unveiling a patent-pending bleach-resistant technology.
Titled Bleach Friendly, the new process developed by Brumlow Home makes bath rugs immune to bleaching.
“Our proprietary process allows for our Bleach Friendly bath rugs to be safely laundered using chlorine bleach without fading or damaging the fabric or the backing,” explained Mitchell Brumlow, ceo.
The technology, he continued, is “actually integrated into and becomes part of the product and will not wash out.”
The company has already produced several bath rug offerings containing Bleach Friendly. Currently, this assortment includes varieties made of Invista’s 6/6 nylon fiber. But constructions “can vary dramatically” by texture level, twist and weight, said Patrick Moyer, president.
Also in the works at Brumlow are other new technologies, including a stain-resistant chemical applied during the dyeing process that makes rugs “virtually stain-proof to most household stains,” the company reported.
“As we were developing our new Bleach Friendly process we thought about ways we could make this innovative bath rug even better,” Brumlow said. “Our rug is not only bleach friendly, but also resists common bathroom stains like lipstick, mascara, and so many other household stains.”
We would love your feedback!
