Melange Home uses menswear as muse

By Michele SanFilippo -- Home Textiles Today, 2/16/2004 12:00:00 AM

At Mini-market, Melange Home said it will be offering a menswear-inspired collection of bedding this spring with two to three new patterns incorporating yarn dyes, faux leather, microsuede and acrylic wools.

The company showed a new burgundy colorway on its Cabana Ribbon Stripe pattern, which will feature three to four new fall colors at market, including pumpkin, plum and olive green.

In faux leather fabrications, including its new quilted variety, Melange Home will offer tan, chocolate and black colorways.

The company is also developing velvet and poly-dupioni fabrications.

Melange will feature four new prints at market, drawing from such looks as vintage wallpaper, paisleys, stripes, dots and other patterns.

Lastly, it will introduce a fuller line of blankets and shower-curtain fabrications this coming market.
