Jackson to Head Wal-Mart Purchasing

Bentonville, Ark. —
Wal-Mart Stores has promoted Lawrence Jackson to president and ceo of global procurement. Previously executive vp human resources, he continues to report to president and ceo Lee Scott. Jackson joined Wal-Mart in 2004 from Dollar General, where he was president and coo.
Wal-Mart also made these executive promotions:
Susan Chambers from evp of risk management and benefits administration, to evp of human resources and diversity. She will report to Scott.
Linda Dillman from evp and chief information officer, to evp of risk management and benefits administration. In addition, Dillman will lead sustainability efforts.
Rollin Ford, from evp of logistics and supply chain, to evp and chief information officer.
Johnnie Dobbs, from senior vp of logistics for Eastern U.S. and specialty distribution, to evp of logistics and supply chain.
Dillman, Ford and Dobbs will report to Wal-Mart vice chairman John Menzer.
