Surya Rugs to Open NY Showroom

Surya Rugs is moving into a 3,000-square-foot showroom in New York in time for the New York Home Fashions Summer Market in August. The space is in Suite 439 at 7 W New York.

Surya will host a grand opening party for its customers.

India-based Surya, which turned 25 years old this year, is a manufacturer of hand-knotted, hand-tufted and flat-woven rugs. The company also offers coordinating accessories: decorative pillows, throws, and wall art.

"The 7 W New York building offers a perfect opportunity for us to showcase to those retailers whom we don't see at our other showrooms the diversity of our line of rugs and home décor accessories, said Surya president Satya Tiwari. Surya also has showrooms in Atlanta, Las Vegas, High Point, and New Delhi, India.
