NORCROSS, GA. —
Cecil Adams, who for the last four years was the vice president, creative director for Trade Am, recently resigned from his post to start his own creative services company.
Adams, based in Atlanta, said his new company — Studio ConFab — offers home furnishings companies and suppliers with concept, design and product development services.
"I want to emphasize the concept side of this company," Adams said. "I create the whole concept for the client — from concept to product development to showroom design."
At Trade Am, which is based here, Adams was in charge of developing the brand and all product lines for the company's textiles offerings — including area and accent rugs, top-of-bed products, bath rugs, table linens, decorative pillows and throws. He also was in charge of showroom presentation and design.
Prior to that stint, he designed upholstery, case goods and accessories.
Ashu Ladha, CEO and president of Trade Am, said the company is retaining Adams on consultant basis.
"We've been building our creative staff over the last two years," Ladha said. "We wish him great success in his venture."
We would love your feedback!
