MIAMI —
Business partners Enrique Montoya and Tessie Calejo have come up with multiple-use bath and beach towels, which they call TieTowels.
And now they are looking for a manufacturing and distribution partner to make and sell their concept.
The TieTowels, which come in standard sizes for bath and beach, feature two 21.5-inch terry straps at opposite ends of the top of the towel that allow for the towels to serve other purposes besides drying. Just as the concept is being marketed with video and CD presentations, brochures and the Web site www.tietowels.com, TieTowels can be used as car seat covers, beach chair covers, gym equipment covers, sarongs, yoga blankets and satchels for carrying beach or gym paraphernalia.
Montoya told HTT his goal is to reach all levels of distribution by offering various typed of weights and constructions. But for the launch, the plan is to create 100 percent U.S.-made cotton towels and get placement at specialty and department stores first.
We would love your feedback!
