Hall to Lead Mascioni's U.S. Subsidiaries

By Staff -- Home Textiles Today, 12/6/2004 12:00:00 AM

Mascioni S.P.A. has appointed John Hall to the position of president and CEO of its U.S. subsidiaries — Mascioni USA, Ltd., and Mascioni Hospitality, Inc.

Most recently, Hall was vice president of Brand Development at Group 3 Design in New York, which he joined this past winter to steer the direction of the Royal Velvet brand. Group 3, which had been the brand manager for Royal Velvet as well as Cannon, is no longer handling either property.

Hall is a veteran of the home textiles industry, having begun his career in 1981 at WestPoint Pepperell. In the mid-1980s, as marketing manager for Martex, he established direction for the flagship brand as well as licensed designer programs such as Perry Ellis, Sybil Connolly and Liberty of London. Later, he was WestPoint's vice president of merchandising, responsible for sheets and bedding for the company's upper market channel distribution.

From 1990, at Dan River, where he was senior vice president of the Home Fashions Division, Hall worked with licensed programs such as Alexander Julian, Lilly Pulitzer and Nautica, as well as Porthault for the luxury market.

Chiara Mascioni, former president of Mascioni USA, will continue to support the U.S. business from Mascioni Corporate offices in Italy.
