By Staff -- Home Textiles Today, 4/14/2005 11:42:00 AM

NEW YORK — Keeco has hired three new staff members in sales and merchandising this year.

On March 24, Debbie Sager joined Keeco as Midwest regional sales manager from Barth & Dreyfus, where she was a sales representative for 13 years. Previously, Sager had been district merchandising manager for apparel at Mervyns and a bath buyer before that during her 18-year tenure with the company.

On Jan. 24, Louis Smith joined the company as merchandise manager for fashion bedding, based in New York . Smith worked at Revman for a year in sales as a brand manager, handling such collections as Anne Klein and Nicole Miller. Before that he was at Sheridan USA for nine years in product development.

Allison Spadone was hired as merchandising manager for basic bedding on Jan. 10. Spadone comes from a retail background that includes Pottery Barn, Williams-Sonoma and Saks.

According to Mike Roach, vice president of sales and marketing, "We are adding people because we’re seeing tremendous growth at the company."

Roach continued," We’ve taken (the things) we do really well and applied them to comforters to bring up our styling. We’ve set a direction for the company now and put some strategies in place, then hired the right people to carry out these initiatives."
