FTC Green Guides workshop alert

New York – The Home Fashion Products Association alerts members and others that the Federal Trade Commission will hold a free Green Guides workshop on July 15 live in Washington and via webcast.

Geared toward the building and textiles industries, this third-in-a-series event keys on the agency’s regulatory review of the “Guides for the Use of Environmental Marketing Claims,” commonly known as the Green Guides.

The July 15 workshop will examine developments in environmental claims and the consumer perception of such claims. The Commission’s first event examined the marketing of carbon offsets and renewable energy certificates; the second examined green packaging claims.
