Couristan emphasizes shags in new "Chic" brochure

Fort Lee, N.J. - Couristan , the family-owned and operated area rug house, has created a new company brochure that highlights its shag area rug assortment.
The 14-page and four-color "Chic Shag" brochure features 65 different shags from eight of Couristan's collections, including Focal Point, Haight Street, Scintilla, Luxus, Vissionaire, Lagash, Moonwalk and Epics.
Constructions include both handmade and power-loomed styles. Retails range from $199 to $899 for a 5-by-8.
Many of the rugs are depicted in room settings designed to "assist buyers in visualizing how to incorporate various shag fashion in relaxed and contemporary spaces," the company said.
Other rugs are pictured in close-up images.
“This new brochure is a necessary sales support tool that many of our dealers now have a need for," said Larry Mahurter, advertising and marketing director. "Expanding beyond the stereotypical 70's shag look, today's shag rugs feature innovative details like high-low patterns, anti-piling techniques, multi-colored yarn systems and trend-conscious colors.”
