CH Designs opens retail showroom

By Staff -- Home Textiles Today, 12/10/2007 12:49:00 PM

Cumming, Ga. – Fledgling upscale rug company CH Designs Inc., which launched in January, recently opened its own retail showroom here.

President and ceo Charles Hobgood has staged the space much like an art gallery to showcase the brilliant color schemes and large-scale designs CH Designs employs on its handcrafted, New Zealand wool rugs.

“We want customers to experience the magnificent color, scale and quality of our rugs the minute they walk in the door,” he said. “Every stunning design is fully displayed and spotlighted, without the use of racks or stacks, to reveal the luxury of each unique design.”

The company’s Collection I is the first series of designs created through the collaborated efforts of Hobgood and Circe Lucas of Circe Design. Each rug is an original, copyrighted design that comes with a serial number and a certificate of authenticity signed by Hobgood and Lucas.

All rugs in the collection are handcrafted in China and approved to carry the Wools of New Zealand Brand. Sizes offered include 6-by-9, 8-by-10, 9-by-12, 10-by-14 and 12-by-15.

In other news, the “CH” in CH Designs Inc. was recently awarded a U.S. Patent and Trademark Registration Certificate. As a registered trademark, Hobgood’s initials brand each textile design.
