New York — —
New York — Nautica unveiled its new juvenile bedding collection with Crown Crafts at Mini-Market featuring six bright patterns geared toward four to eight year olds' first bedroom sets.
Three girl and three boy beds were featured in 100-percent yarn-dyed cotton and one microfiber construction. Most patterns have grosgrain details and stripes of some sort. Twin comforter sets will retail for $129.99, while twin sheet sets are priced at $49.99.
Girl patterns include: Haley, a floral clusters design in a printed Swiss dot accented by ribbon trim; Penelope, a patchwork pastel with paisley designs and miniature gingham; and Caitlyn, with wide sherbet-colored stripes and appliquéd dragonfly accents.
Boy patterns include: Peyton, a new take on rugby stripes with plaid sheeting; Taylor, with bold stripes in primary colors and detailed navy strapping and color blocks; and Oliver, a nautical print look in navy, red and yellow featuring J-class sails and flags.
Nautica is hoping to ultimately provide retailers with total kids' room solutions including bedding, lamps, wall art, window treatments and rugs. In addition, an infant bedding line designed to coordinate with the juvenile bedding patterns will debut in May at the Juvenile Products Manufacturers Association's annual International JPMA show.
