Trade Link to Expand its OfferingsNews Shows to Be Held in India, China and England

By Staff -- Home Textiles Today, 5/16/2005 12:00:00 AM

Trade Link, the producer of Scoperta in Switzerland and Textiles d'Interieur Premiere (TIP) will launch three additional shows beginning in spring 2006.

The first, in Bangelore, India, will feature worldwide design companies specializing in textile surface design and apparel, targeting the Indian manufacturing market.

The second show, to be held in Shanghai in the fall of 2006, will have a similar format.

The third new show will held outside London in Ascot in early summer 2006 and will showcase luxury fabrics and wall coverings from the United Kingdom, Europe and international producers. Potential exhibitors will be vetted in order to exhibit.

Said Andy Green, Trade Link's managing director, “We believe there is a huge potential in China and India for manufacturing quality-driven textiles and surface design products.”

He added, “For many, China and India are unknowns in terms of both business and culture. We will therefore be providing information and seminars to support the exhibitors so they understand the markets they will be selling to. And vice versa, we will also provide support to the Indian and Chinese manufacturing companies so they understand the international textiles design culture.”
