Bloomies set for South Coast Plaza opening

New York – Bloomingdale’s will open its 39th store in Costa Mesa , Calif. in the South Coast Plaza next Friday, May 4.
The 291,169 square-foot store on three levels will feature the home division on Level 1 with about 50,000 square feet. Absent from the home area are furniture, mattresses and rugs.
Ralph Lauren Home will be the only brand to have a physical shop presentation, although each of the many designers and name brands in the luxury sphere will be featured as collections on an open floor arrangement. Included in the bedding offerings are Pratesi, Sferra, Etro, Ann Gish, Anna Sova, Natori, Calvin Klein, Donna Karan and Barbara Barry.
The store, the eighth for Bloomingdale’s in the California market, will kick off with an opening reception gala May 2 benefiting the Orange County Performing Arts Center, hosted by Michael Gould, chairman and ceo of the store.
