Fishman exits Frank's Nursery & Crafts

Troy, MI — Steve Fishman has resigned from Frank's Nursery & Crafts to pursue other endeavors, the 170-store gardening, seasonal and home decor chain announced, although Fishman will retain a consulting role with the company through April 20, 2003.
His duties will be assumed by Adam Szopinski, currently president and coo.
"I feel that I've accomplished what I intended to do here at Frank's, which was to refocus the company and put it back on a sound footing," said Fishman, who steered the chain's emergence from bankruptcy.
