By Staff -- Home Textiles Today, 5/14/2008 2:19:00 PM

Lahore, Pakistan – Chemical developer BASF Pakistan Private Limited and buying house/resource agency Texlynx Home have agreed to collaborate in developing innovative textiles for global retailers and brands in the U.S. and Europe.

This is Texlynx’s first such deal with a textiles chemicals supplier. The collaboration aims at presenting innovative concepts such as functional finishes and processes that conserve resources in order to add value to products.

“BASF is committed to the sustainable development of the textile industry. We want to work together with customers and partners along the textile value chain to deliver high quality textile articles that also meet the latest global ecological standards and requirements,” states Klaus Tiedemann, heading the Global Value Chain Marketing Team at BASF Textile Chemicals.

Texlynx will have access to BASF’s application laboratory in Pakistan to jointly develop new performance products.

“Value addition and process reengineering is a must to maintain and enhance the competitiveness of Pakistan’s textile industry,” said Imran Lateef, founder of Texlynx.
