Robert Allen, JLA strike licensing deal

By Staff -- Home Textiles Today, 8/15/2008 1:47:00 PM

New York – Robert Allen @ Home will launch a fashion bedding and window coverings collection via a licensing arrangement with JLA Home at the New York Home Fashions Market next month.

The collection of about 10 to 12 fashion bedding styles “will take the Robert Allen @ Home aesthetic and bring it into the retail home textiles market,” explained Glenn Gold, evp-marketing, general manager, residential business, at The Robert Allen Group, parent company of the fabric division that sells to retailers such as Calico Corners, JoAnn Fabrics, and Hancock Fabrics.

Price points for the fashion bedding collection will range from about $199 to $399 for a queen comforter set of four pieces, with the majority priced from $299 to $399.

The window coverings collection has not been fully determined at this point, Gold said.

“JLA Home will be using our color palette and design references as inspiration for the bedding,” Gold commented. “It will be a fresh color palette and fashion forward in colorations.”

“We’re delighted to extend the product offerings for the Robert Allen @ Home Brand,” said Jeff Cordover, company president. “The finished goods JLA Home will distribute are a natural extension of this already successful brand.”
