World Market preps Building B for winter show

-- Home Textiles Today, 12/16/2008 2:24:00 PM

Las Vegas – The World Market Center is shifting showrooms and amenities around in Building B as the Winter Market (Feb. 9-13) approaches.

A new mix of permanent showrooms is taking shape on the first floor to create an international sampling of eclectic furnishings, WMC said, while the second floor will offer three juried showcases: ConText, Design & Living, and the Living Green Pavilion.

ConText will feature high-end home textiles and bedding, decorative pillows bath items, table linens and throws. Design & Living is focused on new trends, from traditional to contemporary. The Living Green Pavilion will spotlight recycled, reclaimed and renewed products: “All products displayed are verified sustainable,” according to WMC.

In the Building B lobby, a new Education Concierge will assist buyers interested in tapping some of the seminar and speaker resources. Most events take place on the 16th floor; topics will include trends, color, merchandising, buying patterns, sales techniques, business strategies and sustainability.
