The colors are blaze, which is inspired by autumnal leaves, and grasshopper, a bold green combined with earth tones. They will debut in mid-January during the International Area Rug Market in Atlanta, where Merida's showroom is space 9-E-13 in the Merchandise Mart.
New York's Museum of Modern Art selected Central Park as part of its permanent architecture and design collection in 1985 -- 10 years after its introduction to the market -- and established it as a modern classic for the home.
"Our Metropolitan collection is inspired by the sophistication of urban America," said Maegan Fee, Merida's creative director. "The two new Central Park colors have a distinctive retro feel with a modern voice."
