TexStyle Home names McCracken cfo/coo

Guyer McCracken has joined TexStyle Home Fashions as cfo and coo. He reports to Mike Crotty, ceo.

From 1980 to 2000, McCracken was at Proctor & Gamble, mostly in finance and accounting, though he also spent three years in advertising, working on over-the-counter products such as Pepto Bismol and Chloraseptic Sore Throat Remedy.

His position at TexStyle is new, combining the role of coo and cfo. TexStyle's previous cfo, Rick Rogers, left in June.

While at P&G, McCracken spent eight years living and working in Asia, including Taiwan and Japan as well as Hong Kong, where his primary responsibility was the financial management of P&G's China business, which included 13 joint ventures at that time.

In 2000, McCracken said he "got the entrepreneurial bug" and joined as the cfo of start-up company Swapalease Inc.

Though he enjoyed that experience, he wanted "to utilize my international experience and start working with Asia again...I was attracted by the growth opportunities at TexStyle, and the company was looking for an individual with international experience to build not only the business in the U.S. but in other countries as well."
