Minneapolis – Placemats and aprons are among the home décor pieces to don British designer Orla Kiely’s graphic patterns via a newly created program launching this winter at Target.
The Orla Kiely for Target exclusive collection for home spans housewares – including organization and storage pieces like printed laundry bags and hanging shoe racks – to home décor pieces like table linens and kitchen textiles, as well as plates and bowls.
Kiely, whose own upscale signature line of colorful and organic patterns includes $150 lampshades and $22 mugs, is making her designs “accessible to a wider audience,” Target noted, at prices ranging from $2.49 for a small tumbler through $21.99 for a tablecloth.
"My designs are based on quality and practicality," Kiely said.
The assortment will be available for a limited time, starting Feb. 1, at Target’s 1,684 stores. Select items will also be available at www.target.com.
"The Orla Kiely for Target collection combines fun and function with products that are adorable and available for a great price," said Gina Sprenger, svp merchandising, Target, who also termed the line “energetic and bright.”
