LOUISVILLE, KY. —
Lewis Rudy has resigned as president of Louisville Bedding, closing out a three-year career at the basic bedding supplier.
John Minihan, who had earlier stepped down as CEO of Louisville Bedding, while remaining chairman, said a successor will be named shortly after the Louisville Bedding Board of Directors meets later this week.
Rudy, who spent 15 years at Aerated Home Furnishings (AHF), a Montreal-based producer of mattress pads and pillows, joined Louisville as vice president of purchasing shortly after it purchased AHF in October 1999, later becoming president.
He joined AHF when it was a small company generating about $3 million (Canadian) in annual sales, later becoming president. When AHF was ultimately sold to Louisville, its sales had grown to in excess of $20 million (Canadian) a year.
Rudy said he has no immediate plans. "I'm going to take some time to evaluate my options. In the meantime, I'm really enjoying picking my sons up at school and taking them to the park."
