Home Depot to launch Martha Stewart Line

Staff -- Home Textiles Today, 9/28/2009 12:00:00 AM

Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia is branching into a new retail partnership in the home improvement channel, readying a launch at Home Depot of outdoor living, home organization and home décor products.

The outdoor living collection will include patio dining and conversation sets prices from $399 to $1,999. It will debut in January in the U.S. and in February in Canada. The home organization assortment will debut in February. Details about the home décor line will be announced early next year.

Home Depot operates 2,241 stores.

"This exciting new partnership allows MSLO to significantly broaden our reach and expand our business. Between our program at The Home Depot and our robust offerings at Macy's and other retailers, customers will now find Martha Stewart products wherever they shop," said MSLO executive chairman and principal executive officer Charles Koppelman said,

As Stewart's once $1 billion program at Kmart winds down on its way to expiration, Omnimedia has been striking branded, category-specific deals with a host of retailings, including home furnishings at Macy's, crafts at Wal-Mart, Michaels and independent retailers, floral arrangements for 1-800-flowers.com, and food at Costco.
