Washington — The U.S. Department of Commerce is sponsoring a gala reception at Heimtextil 2003 as part of the celebration of the United States' status as "partner country" for the exhibition.
The event will honor the U.S. textiles home furnishings industry. All American exhibitors at Heimtex, including agents, distributors, and customers, are invited to attend the event, which will take place Jan. 9 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., according to Larry Brill, director, market expansion division, Office of Textiles and Apparel (OTEXA), U.S. Department of Commerce.
Brill emphasized that, "although anyone that an American company feels is appropriate is welcome as a guest, the names, addresses and company affiliations of each guest is required [to be submitted in advance] for security reasons."
OTEXA is sending each guest an official invitation during December, and no one will be admitted without an invitation. Registration forms requesting the names of guests are being sent to all American companies that will be at Heimtextil.
