Cost Plus Inc. elects new board member

Oakland, Calif. – On Thursday, Casual home and entertaining goods retail chain Cost Plus Inc.’s shareholders elected Christopher Dodds to its board of directors. He will join the audit committee and serve as the board's financial expert, the company said.
Dodds is executive vp and cfo of Charles Schwab Corp., which he joined in 1986 and has since held several financial positions in treasury, financial planning and analysis, and corporate development.
“As a cfo of a major public financial services company, Chris brings a strong working knowledge of emerging accounting issues and financial trends,” said Barry Feld, Cost Plus president and ceo.
