Hanauer lobbies the super-rich to lift up the middle class

Seattle – Probably the first (and last) time you will read a Politico article that contains references to a major home textiles company (Pacific Coast Feather Company) and a home textiles ceo (Jeff Tauber, chief of Royal Heritage Home and National Allergy).

Nick Hanauer, scion of the Hanauer family that founded and continues to own PCFC, is now a venture capitalist. He made his first fortune by investing in a start-up company called Amazon.com.

In Politico, he urges business leaders to lift wages and engage in other activities to shore up the middle class and close the wealth gap.

Otherwise, he warns, the pitchforks are coming for the top wealth holders in the country.
