Surtex design contest calling for entries

White Plains, N.Y. – The Surtex 2007 International Student Design Competition is now open to entries.

Themed “Nature’s Inspiration,” the competition is now accepting entries in four categories: Home Interior, Stationery/Paper Products, Hospitality (Restaurant/Lodging) or Housewares/Tabletop.First Placeprizes will be awarded in each category, plus an overall Grand Prize.The competition is open to all third and fourth year students enrolled in a surface design or related program in an institution of higher learning. Some 200 college/university-level art and design schools from around the world have been invited to compete for five cash prizes, visibility at Surtex in May 2997and an internship opportunity.Instructors/professors must register participating students online at www.surtex.com/isdc by Nov. 30.
