Protect-A-Bed Bows QuiltGard

Protect-A-Bed, maker of protective encasements for mattress, box spring and pillows, debuted the QuiltGuard mattress pad at the International Hotel, Motel & Restaurant Show in New York.

QuiltGuard offers protection against liquids, allergens and dust mites in a luxury-level pad; it is FR-compliant and meets Oeko-Tex Standard 100 or SGS Group tests.

"We're calling it the gold standard in bedding protection since it's a product the hospitality industry has been asking for," said Petra Minoff, vp of sales in Protect-A-Bed's Hospitality Division.

Minoff said the "outstanding" response to its AllerZip product line, shown at last year's IHMRS, shows hospitality buyers recognize how mattress protectors can cut operating costs by extending cleaning and replacement cycles.
