Greenwich, Conn. —
Services were held here last week for Bill Zales, who died in an automotive accident. Zales, 72, was a longtime decorative fabrics executive, who left the industry a few years ago.
In his extensive career, Zales served as a vp at P/Kaufmann from 1972 to 1979. He then formed another decorative fabrics firm, Fabriyaz, with Jay Yang, the designer for P/Kaufmann, a union that lasted 12 years, until 1991. He later began the Concord Home Fabrics division of apparel fabrics converter Concord Fabrics. In 2001, he was a member of a holding company that acquired Cyrus Clark, a then 76 year old converter of decorative and apparel fabrics.
He is survived by his wife Margot, two daughters, two sons, two daughters-in-law, two sons-in-law, and 10 grandchildren.
We would love your feedback!
