Big Lots Appoints Merchandise Planning VP

Columbus, Ohio —

Big Lots has appointed Lisa Bachmann senior vice president of merchandise planning and allocation/information technology.

She will report to Steve Fishman, chairman, CEO, and president.

Bachmann joined Big Lots in 2002 as senior vice president of merchandise planning and allocation, and has been responsible for merchandise planning, allocation, and replenishment for more than 1,500 retail stores. In her expanded role, she will also oversee information technology for all areas of the company, including supply chain management, merchandise planning, allocation, distribution, store operations, finance, human resources, and business processes.

Prior to joining Big Lots, Bachmann was senior vice president of planning and allocation for Ames Department Stores.
