New York —
Bel Air Inc. has resumed the distribution and warehousing of its decorative fabrics following the closing of Jablan Fabrics which had performed these functions for the French-based producer of sheers.
Crestmont Fabrics, in February, acquired certain assets of Jablan.
Concurrently, Bomar Trimming has acquired the assets of Nantucket Trimmings, a division of Jablan. Nantucket designs and distributes decorative trimmings products to decorative jobbers, specialty retailers and home furnishings manufacturers.
Nantucket, established in 2001, will retain its headquarters and design department outside of Philadelphia as well as showrooms in New York and High Point. Nantucket products, sales force and marketing will retain a separate corporate entity. Curt Gunsalus, a founder of Nantucket and a principal in Jablan, becomes executive vice president of Nantucket.
Patty Wilson, formerly national sales manager of Jablan, has become sales director for the United States for Bel Air, a division of Zorlu.
Bel Air has new offices and a showroom at 267 Fifth Ave. here and a new warehouse in Sandersville, Ga.
