Beaulieu, Dunbar-Cullum Partner for Hospitality Carpet Collections

Carpet and rug house Beaulieu Canada has forged a partnership with New York textile design company Dunbar-Cullum Inc. And together they have launched nine new collections of carpet styles.

The nine collection are: Alliasia, Aqualibra, Jessemé, Kahala, Melaluka, Paper Tree, Seraglio, Suzani and Syrah.

Each collection began as an original painting by Esther Dunbar-Cullum, co-founder of Dunbar-Cullum Inc., which is a hospitality industry designer of carpets and rugs. She established the company with co-founder Peter Cullum.

Her collections feature a range of coordinating patterns that vary in scale. A variety of additional design elements also provide "practical applications in corridor designs and end cas, rug insets and borders, " Beaulieu noted in a statement.

Dunbar-Cullum's inspiration is said to stem from "a classical understanding, cultural influences and personal whimsy. "

For example, the Jessemé collection draws from the designer's own playful outdoor excursions with her young children, Jesse and Esmé.

"The dreamy, humorous conversations of my little children made me view the elegance of nature through the lens of fantasy, " she explained. "The dizzying array of pattern and light-play, the swirls of the clouds and the layering of images were the springboard for "Jessemé" and how I saw nature that summer's day."
