MAPLEWOOD, NY -An option designed to save consumers money has been added to Comfortex's cellular shade product lines.
The window covering manufacturer announced that the ComforTracks Energy Saving Sidetrack System, which provides an additional insulating seal when installed, will be available in a variety of hardware and fabric options.
ComforTracks are custom-designed side channels that work with the company's double honeycomb shades. When installed on the inside of the window frame, shades slide into it, preventing cold and hot air from entering the home from the sides of the shades.
"The ComforTracks Energy Saving SideTrack System is a elegant solution that reduces consumer heating and cooling costs," said John Fitzgerald, executive vp, Comfortex. "These shades basically pay for themselves within five years, based on the customer's location and condition of their windows."
