New York – Hollander Home Fashions this week introduced Flexotech, a mattress topper that provides the support of memory foam.
Flexotech is made of three layers specialty non-woven polyester, a bonded poly and a gel. The zip-off cover is machine washable.
The non-woven poly “is a technology we originally saw in Europe in sports car seats,” said Beth Mack, chief merchandising officer.
A queen topper retails at $200.
Hollander is also debuting Nu-Soft, a cotton-rich mattress pad with an ultra-soft touch that is also machine-washable.
Top-of-the-line Eco-Luxe utility bedding is woven in India from GOTTs-certified organic cotton and finished in Germany.
For Laura Ashley basic bedding, Hollader pulled from Ashley’s UK design book.
“Laura Ashley customers in England are a little more sophisticated,” said Mack. “The line is a little more cleaner in look and a little more contemporary, but still true to Laura Ashley.”
Hollander also revamped its packaging, ditching pictoral inserts in favor of bold, contemporary simplified product statements.
