Plano, Texas – Offering more than 400 Black Friday specials – an increase of 20% over last year – department store operator JCPenney said it has launched the biggest day-after-Thanksgiving sale in company history.
“Customers can find gifts they’ll be proud to give, all at the most compelling Black Friday prices we’ve ever offered,” said Ken Hicks, president and chief merchandising officer, JCP. The company began promoting the sale items today on its jcp.com website.
Among the soft home offerings, the “classic JCPenney towel” is on sale at $2.99, bed pillow twin-packs are $8.88, and fleece blankets in all sizes are $18.99.
The company also said it will post 40%-65% off “several apparel, footwear, accessories and home items.”
In addition to its “Doorbuster” items, the retailer debuts “Screenbusters,” or limited-time deals at jcp.com.
To assure no one misses out on time-limited offers, JCP is providing consumers the option to sign-up on jcp.com for a wake-up call to their mobile phone on Black Friday. The company also will promote the stores’ 4 a.m. opening through its “Turkey Tailgate” ad on TV.
We would love your feedback!
