EveryWare names Solomon permanent ceo, reopens Lancaster factory

Lancaster, Ohio – EveryWare Global announced today that its board of directors appointed Sam Solomon as its permanent ceo, effective today. Solomon was named interim ceo on Feb. 25.

"Sam is the right leader for the job and is well equipped to revitalize the company over the coming months and years. He has already made significant contributions, and we are confident that he will continue to drive long-term value creation,” said Daniel Collin, chairman of the board.

The company also said it will reopen its Lancaster, Ohio manufacturing operations this week. The company temporarily shut down it’s the plant along with a facility in Monaca, Penn. on May 15 to conserve cash and reduce glassware inventory. The company partially reopened its Monaca plant on June 2.

EveryWare will cut jobs at its Lancaster plant over the next few weeks and will seek additional ways to conserve cash and reduce expenses.

"We are pleased to restart the Lancaster facility to better serve our customers. We will continue to operate with a lean staff to control costs and conserve cash. We are also exploring additional opportunities to reduce costs and improve profitability as we position EveryWare for long-term value creation,” said Solomon.
