Surya Opens New Delhi Showroom

Int'l Home Deco Park is Company's Newest Site

Surya Rugs is opening its first overseas showroom, selecting International Home Deco Park — IHDP — in India's New Delhi as its site.

"With the market becoming global, our presence at IHDP was a must," said Satya Tiwari, president. "Global sourcing is becoming increasingly important, and is currently a top priority by many firms. We now provide a service to our national accounts to bring them to the source and become directly involved in the development of their product."

In this new showroom, Surya will show its complete product line, and it will debut its introductory Accents by Surya collection. "IHDP will represent 100 cream-of-the-industry companies, so the buyers can see a variety and meet the best companies in the trade," said Aditya Gupta, founder of IHDP.

Surya also operates showrooms in Atlanta, High Point, N.C., and Las Vegas. IHDP is a business-to-business park dedicated to the home furnishings trade, showcasing a range of products that can be sourced from India. It includes not only top Indian manufacturers but several major international companies interested in expanding into India.
