Croscill, Lucia Designs Debut Savvy Home

Croscill Home is introducing Savvy Home, a new collection of decorative curtain rings and panels under an exclusive licensing agreement with Lucia Designs by Lisa Michelle, Inc.

The decorative hardware line combines elements of jewelry with color and enamel to coordinate with specific window coverings in the Croscill line. Carl Legreca, president of Croscill Home said, "I feel that in this sluggish business environment, product that is presented in the stores must be excitingly different and dramatic. The combination of hardware and soft window treatments which will be introduced in the Savvy Home Collection brings just that to our marketplace."

Commented Lisa Granger, president and ceo of Lucia Designs, "I am thrilled to be a part of Croscill Home and the business opportunities going forwards. Carl Legreca and Lydia Irwin and their team have a passion for innovative products and operate the company with integrity and enthusiasm."

The new decorative rings are circular with a trough set in, and the rings turn 360 degrees so the drapery can flow — "others don't," explained Lydia Irwin, Croscill vp of product development. A small clip attaches to the welt top of the drapery.

There are three styles: "Enamel with blingy beads or jet beads, solids, and faux pearls," said Irwin. Each style has its own curtain — all showy fabrics in polyester/silk blends with specific borders. The rings are packaged in groups of seven at $16.99; panels range from $39 to $59. "The next step is shower curtains, and they'll be great for that but they have to be modified," Irwin explained.
