Polymer Group announces executive appointments

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. — Polymer Group Inc. announced the following organizational changes:

Bruce Rockenfield has been named vice president of human resources. He was previously vice president of human resources at Harnischfeger Corp./ P & H Mining Equipment in Milwaukee, Wis. Prior to that, Rockenfield was the manager of human resources for Beloit Corp. in Beloit, Wis.

Sherry Sutton has joined PGI as group vice president, marketing and sales. She was previously vice president, sales and marketing for Honeywell International's performance fibers group. Prior to that she held positions in sales, marketing, and business at Hoechst Celanese Corp. in its film and specialty-chemical divisions.

James Snyder has been named vice president of global purchasing. He joined PGI in 1993 and most recently was vice president of corporate engineering. Snyder also has been plant manager at the Landisville, N.J. and Benson, N.C. locations. Prior to joining PGI, he worked for Nissan Motor Manufacturing and held positions at consulting engineering firms.

Michael Hale has been appointed group vice president, USA nonwoven division. He was previously group vice president of product supply since July 2001. From September 1997 through July 2001, Hale served as vice president of operations, nonwovens. From 1972 until September 1997, Hale held various manufacturing and engineering positions for PGI and for Johnson & Johnson (former owner of the company's Chicopee Inc. subsidiary).
