Asia takes lead role in exporting
Although the U.S. base of home textiles manufacturers has slowly expanded, one area of the world has slowly risen to the top and has become the most dominant supplier of home textiles products to the United States — Asia. Approximately $14 billion worth of non-apparel textiles crossed the United States' border in 2000.
